Angio Exam Preparation

Follow these guidelines to prepare for the exam:

• Complete all lab and diagnostic tests ordered by your physician.
• Patients taking blood thinners, such as Coumadin®, will need to talk with their physician to adjust the medications.
• Do not eat or drink for six hours prior to your exam, except for small sips of water for prescribed medications.
• Leave jewelry and other valuables at home.
• If you develop a fever or flu-like symptoms the morning of the exam, contact your physician’s office.
