Angiogram

An angiogram, also known as a cardiac catheterization, is a specialized imaging procedure that uses X-ray to view the body’s blood vessels.

To create X-ray images, a liquid dye is injected through a thin, flexible tube called a catheter. The dye makes the blood flowing inside the vessels visible on the X-ray.

Your physician uses the information from this exam to evaluate your treatment options.
