Fathers of Young Children

  This 4-week class series is for dads who want to learn the art of parenting and how to promote a healthy parent/hild relationship. For dads with children ages birth to 5 years.

"Loving You"
 

February 14, 2009

Willamette University in the Cat Cavern Hall.

 

Salem Hospital Auxiliary will be hosting a dinner/dance fundraising event entitled "Loving You" which is to benefit the Salem Cancer Institute and to raise awareness of this special service line at Salem Hospital.

The event will include entertainment by the "Salem Big Band" and a silent auction.

 

Tickets are $50 per person, and dress is semi-formal. All proceeds to benefit the Salem Cancer Institute.

Osteoporosis: Nutrition and Exercise for Healthy Bones!

Aquatic Tai Chi

  Tai chi, a slow, meditative exercise, can be done in water to achieve relaxation, increase circulation and improve balance. Participants in this 12-week class need to be independent in the pool and have a physician’s release.

Ball Bouncing Mamas!

Join other expectant and new mothers in an exercise class tailored to pregnant and postpartum women. Learn how to improve abdominal core stability, strengthen pelvic floor muscles, and reduce strain on your back and spine. Babies not yet crawling may attend. Please bring a note from your doctor or midwife that it is OK to participate in this class

Training Camp for New Dads

  Just the guys get together, along with a facilitator and a new dad and baby when possible, to talk about what it's like being a father.  This class is designed for new dads still expecting a baby or dads with newborns.

Baby Care and Feeding
 

Monday, Feb 2, 2009, 6:30 - 9:00 p.m.

Let us help you prepare for your new baby. Topics include breastfeeding and bottle feeding, baby care basics, and car seats and other safety tips. This class is also for grandparents and parents adopting a baby. This information is taught in the Childbirth Preparation Classes.
