Pastoral Care

Chaplains can help in a number of ways, including providing emotional and spiritual support; counseling on health care decisions; grief and loss and death and dying issues and assisting with advance directive documents.

Chapel
A Chapel/Meditation Room is available on the first floor of the Winter Street hospital, next to the Chaplain's office. You will find it to be a place of quiet and peacefulness, with stained glass windows and comfortable seating. It can seat four people or up to eight if more chairs are brought in.

You can have privacy when you use the room by sliding the tag on the outside of the Chapel door sign to say "in Use" and then close the door.

Bibles and devotionals are available in the room for your use.

Our chaplains are available to pray with you or share with you. Please call the switchboard and ask to have a chaplain paged. The phone number for the switchboard is (503) 561-5200 (or extension 1-5200 from a hospital phone).
