As a nurse on the Medical Telemetry unit at Salem Health, you will care for both intermediate and medical patients who require 24/7 cardiac monitoring. We see a diverse patient population with an emphasis on cardiac, sepsis, heart failure, respiratory care, diabetes, and multiple co-morbidities. A multidisciplinary care model is used to focus on providing quality patient centered care.
You will play a key role in patient care and interaction. Your outgoing and positive communication style will allow you to work best with a team of seasoned professionals where your abilities will be challenged and rewarded. You will be part of the team that helps guide and direct patient care with family members that might need that extra support due to culture, social, developmental or medical conditions. Our nurses work independently as well as collaboratively, maintaining a positive, professional demeanor while prioritizing tasks and meeting deadlines. You will be constantly challenged to think creatively about how to drive patient care results, stay updated on current trends and practices, and share learnings with team and other health care colleagues.
What you’ll need
• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing with a Bachelor of Science degree.
• Current and unrestricted Oregon license.
• Minimum of one (1) year experience required.
• BLS issued by the American Heart Association required.
• PCCN or CMSRN preferred, not required.
• ACLS preferred, not required.
• A sense of accountability; a willingness to help others; a team spirit; an ethical standard that will not be compromised.
