This department is responsible for the administration of the hospital’s medical equipment management program.

Scope of Patient Care
The Bio-Medical department supports the delivery of patient care by providing equipment maintenance throughout the entire hospital.

Department Duties

• Responsible for electrical safety, repairs & corrective maintenance, preventative maintenance, calibration of equipment, manufacturer recalls, service contract maintenance, inventory control, and technical advice.
• Handle equipment incident investigations.

• Bio-Medical Department Manager

Educational/Skill Requirements

• An Associate of Science degree in biomedical equipment technology, electronics, or related field.
• Comparable experience.
