This department is responsible for hospital-wide staff education programs, family and community education.
Scope of Patient Care
Education Services provides educational opportunities to enhance professional competence, personal growth, and improve the health of the community.
Department Duties
- Coordinate a variety of clinical courses (Advanced Cardiac Life Support, Basic Life Support, Certified Nursing Assistant Training, Pediatric Life Support, Trauma Nursing Certification, and annual mandatory education)
- Provide a new Graduate Nursing Residency Program
- Provide classes, pamphlets, and newsletters for members of the community.
- Offer a comprehensive family education program (Bilingual “Expectant Parent” series, and soon-to-be brothers and sisters program)
