This department provides diagnostic and therapeutic imaging procedures to hospital inpatients and outpatients under the direction of its trained staff.
Scope of Patient Care
Department Duties
Major clinical functions include:
- Routine, portable, and invasive diagnostic procedures
- Fluoroscopy (fixed and mobile)
- Myelography
- Arthrography
- Tomography
- Peripheral, cerebral, and cardiovascular diagnostic and interventional angiography
- Electrophysiology lab for arrhythmia evaluation and ablation, pacemaker and implanted cardiac defibrillator insertion, Atrial septal defect closures
- Diagnostic needle placements
- Biopsies
- Computerized tomography and CT angiography
- Diagnostic ultrasound
- Diagnostic and therapeutic nuclear medicine, PET/CT; magnetic resonance; mammography
- Record keeping
- Results reporting
