Scope of Patient Care
Information Services are responsible for supporting the patient, the physician, care providers, and administration through computerized systems.

Department Duties

• Responsible for installing and supporting the: Registration system, Clinical Documentation system, Billing and Collection system, and Financial Database.
• The Department is divided into four sections:
• Help Desk
  • Responsible for taking calls from Salem Hospital and West Valley Hospital about computer issues or other questions.
• Technical Services
  • Is responsible for the design, implementation and operations of all the technical infrastructure (servers, data storage, networking equipment and security equipment)
• Telecommunications
  • Responsible for the design, implementation, and operations for all Telecommunications equipment.
  • Responsible for the Salem Hospital switchboard and physician answering service.
  • “Alarm Central”
• Multimedia Department
  • Provide a wide range of audio-visual support services
  • Responsible for E6  slide production, film processing, video productions, medical photography, Audio/Visual duplication, Audio/Visual consulting to staff
