This department provides perioperative nursing care for all patients undergoing elective, urgent or emergency surgery in the operating rooms, plus pre/post procedural care for patients admitted for some Imaging studies and invasive procedures.
Scope of Patient Care
Surgical Services provides care for inpatients and outpatients including nursing assessment, reassessment, monitoring, nursing interventions, patient and family education and discharge planning for the following specialties: neurosurgery, orthopedic, gynecology, genito-urinary, otolaryngology, dental, general surgery, plastic surgery, cardiovascular, ophthalmology, and gastroenterology and pulmonary endoscopic procedure.
