 The Job Shadow Experience Summary (approximately 1 page) is to be completed after shadowing your career of interest. The summary is due within two weeks after participation in the job shadow. Return the Job Shadow Experience Summary to the Internal Health Careers Specialist in Human Resources. A follow-up discussion may be scheduled once the summary is received.

The summary may include the following information:

• Who you shadowed, their name, title, and department
• Questions asked and answers received
• Information you found particularly interesting
• Education required for career (type, length, and programs)
• Certifications required for career and/or employment at Salem Hospital
• Are you still interested in the career?
• If no, then why?
• What you liked about the Job Shadow
• Suggestions for Job Shadow/ what you didn’t like
