The hospital has outlined patient rights to assure proper service is provided to meet all our patients’ needs.

Have the privacy of their bodies maintained. |

Have confidentiality protected. |
| |
Have a safe area free from abuse or harassment. |

Know who is caring for them and their title. |

Have pain assessed and managed. |

Be free from any restraints that are not medically necessary. |

Have access to hospital information regarding diagnosis, treatment, and prognosis. |

Be fully informed by the doctor of treatment and care before consenting to procedures. |

Have themselves, family and/or a legal representative involved with all aspects of care. |

Have a family member and their own physician notified promptly of their hospital admission. |

Have access to people outside the hospital and to interpreter services. |

Have consultation with specialists at their own request and expense. |

Refuse treatment to the extent permitted by law. |

Have certain conditions met prior to transfer to another facility. |

Request and receive an explanation of the hospital bill. |

Have information regarding hospital rules and regulations. |

Have assistance with an advance directive from a hospital representative. |

Have protection from agencies or individuals who may want to interview or observe them. |

Voluntarily participate in clinical training programs, such as for nursing students in training. |
