New Foundation Board Members Appointed

Kathy Gordon, Mark Lyman and Dick Withnell have joined the Salem Hospital Foundation Board of Directors.

The Foundation is a charitable organization that supports medical and medically related projects. Its 15 volunteer directors help raise, manage and distribute Foundation funds.

Kathy Gordon is a Certified Public Accountant with Aldrich, Kilbride and Tatone LLC. Mark Lyman is President of West Salem Machinery Co., and Dick Withnell is the owner of Withnell Dodge-Hyundai.

Other board members include Chair John Ross, M.D.; Vice-Chair Kris Norton.; Secretary-Treasurer Jim Griggs; Tim Abrahamson; Mari Bailey; Vicki Berger; Jan Buffa, Ph.D.; Paul Gehlar; William Hansen; Jennifer Neahring, M.D.; William “Bud” Pierce, M.D.; and Kelly Yunker.

Last year the Foundation granted over $280,000 to various projects including scholarships for students pursuing careers in the medical field, educational DVDs for cancer patients, and equipment purchases, including SIM Baby, which provides staff with simulation exercises for various medical conditions in infants.
