Reporting

Critical values are always phoned immediately.

Test results are delivered by courier or by mail to the physician's office as soon as possible following test completion. If desired, results may be faxed to the office as soon as each test is completed.

Cytology reports have a peel-off return address label, for the convenient use of physician office personnel, when mailing results to patients.

Toxicology Results are delivered by courier or mail as soon as possible upon completion or receipt from the referral testing laboratory.

Some employer authorized and/or federally mandated testing requests may have variable reporting formats from the testing laboratory instead of directly accessible information from Salem Hospital.
