Radiologist: A doctor who specializes in the use of imaging techniques (x-rays, ultrasound, CT, MRI) to diagnose a patient. Interventional radiology: A subspecialty that uses x-ray, CT, and ultrasound to guide procedures within the body such as biopsy, draining fluid, or inserting a catheter. Nuclear medicine: Medicine that uses radioactive materials to diagnose and treat diseases.
