This clinic offers primary care physicians, families and mental health professionals access to psychiatric assessments and consultations for children of all ages.

| Salem Hospital's Child and Adolescent Psychiatric Medicine Day Hospital serves children from ages 5 to 17 who have a wide range of issues, including: |
| Suicidal behavior |
Disabling anxiety |
| Out-of-control aggression |
Severe family conflict |
| Severe depression |
Psychotic disorders |
| Complicated ADHD |
Eating disorders |
Children and adolescents typically spend six hours a day, Monday through Friday, for one to three weeks receiving treatment, which may include group, family and individual therapy, psychological testing and medication therapy.
