The Outpatient Neuromuscular Rehabilitation Program offers a wide variety
of services designed to meet the rehabilitation needs of all age groups.
The staff has special training in the areas of neurological disabilities,
chronic pain, and incontinence. A team approach is used to meet each
person’s
unique rehabilitation needs.
An individualized plan of care is developed by the therapist in collaboration with the patient, family/caregiver and referring physician.
This is the only comprehensive
service of its kind serving the Mid-Willamette Valley.

is a multidisciplinary team composed of Psychology, Physical Therapy,
Occupational Therapy, Medical Social Work, and Physiatry.
All referrals
to this service begin with an evaluation
by a physiatrist at Salem Rehabilitation Associates. The physiatrist
provides medical
oversight
and communicates with the referring physician regarding patient progress
and post discharge care.

Brain Injury
Treatment Services
Functional/behavioral-based Rehabilitation Program
for Those Who Have Sustained an Open or Closed Head Trauma |

This
is a multidisciplinary team composed of Occupational Therapy and Speech-Language
Pathology with Psychology providing consultation.
The focus of
this service is reintegration of patients into the community living
at the highest level
of independence that can be achieved. Life planning and job coaching services are also available. |

Pediatrics
Single or multiple therapy disciplines use a developmental rehabilitation
model. The age range is infancy through adolescence. Sensory Integration training is provided by an occupational therapist certified in this area of specialty care.

Post Polio
Evaluations and interventions provided by Physical Therapy,
Occupational Therapy, and Medical Social Work including assessment
of present adaptive equipment and recommendations for changes |

Aquatic Therapy
Use of the warm water pool or Jacuzzi/spa by physical and occupational
therapies as needed to aid in improving movement and strength
for many disabling and painful medical conditions.
STAR (Swim Therapy Advanced Rehabilitation) Tai Chi is an adaptation
of STAR Tai Chi used in the pool. Members of the program professional staff
provide the instruction.
Aquatic Therapy is also available through West Valley Hospital in Dallas. |
