The pulmonary rehabilitation involves a six-week session tailored to meet
the needs of people with chronic pulmonary diseases.
The program includes monitored
exercise and educational topics taught by respiratory therapists, nurses, physicians,
pharmacists, dietitians, occupational and physical therapists.
Emphasis is placed
on increasing exercise tolerance and developing techniques that will positively
impact each patient’s daily activities.
