Life after surgery - Exercise

You can resume walking the day of surgery. As you recover you can increase how often and how far you walk.

Your surgeon will let you know when it is ok to resume more strenuous physical activity.

Regular physical activity:

  1. Helps your appetite mechanism work better
  2. Preserves lean muscle mass
  3. Strengthens of your heart
  4. Improves coordination
  5. Increases the number of calories burned in a day
  6. Enhances mental and emotional health

You can schedule an appointment with our exercise specialist as often as you want.
