Life after surgery - Nutrition

Surgery changes the size of your stomach. The pouch (your new stomach) will be the size of a small egg.

Because of this small size, it will be uncomfortable for you to eat much at one time.  You will also eat food and drink liquids separately. You may drink recommended liquids up to 30 minutes before eating. You may resume drinking 30 minutes after you finish eating.
