Student Volunteer
This is an ongoing experience allowing students to volunteer in the hospital, with an opportunity to also shadow in a chosen healthcare field.
Before applying as a student volunteer – middle and high school students must attend an Information Session.
Register by calling the Volunteer Services office at 503-561-5277. College students are not required to attend an Information Session.
You should apply for this experience if you:
- Are 14 years old or older
- Are a student in good academic standing
- Have a strong desire to give back to the community
- Are willing to commit to at least 6 months of volunteer service
- Can commit to a minimum of 2.5 – 3.5 hours of service one day a week
- Can pass a criminal background check if you are 18 or older
All applications will be reviewed for accuracy and completeness. Application does not guarantee acceptance into the program and acceptance is dependent on available positions.
Be sure you apply for the correct experience! You will be asked to re-apply if the correct application is not used the first time.
