Student Volunteer Process

This is a list of the steps that will need to take place to complete the Volunteer Service Learner process.

1. Print off checklist to guide you in completing all steps of the application process
2. Review materials online:
   • Hospital Mission and Vision
   • Patient FIRST Values and Patient Rights
   • Confidentiality
   • Safety Information
   • Hospital Emergency Information
   • Cultural Competency
   • Corporate Integrity
   • Student Volunteer Expectations
3. Complete a minimum of 3 online virtual hospital tours
4. Complete and submit Volunteer Service Learner online application
5. Print off form packet
6. Volunteer Services will email you within two business days to confirm receipt of your application and to establish an interview time with you
7. Attend interview and establish a plan for future placements
8. If 18 or older, complete and clear national criminal background check
9. Complete hospital orientation
