HealthGrades® names Salem Hospital No. 1 in Oregon for overall heart services
Salem Hospital ranked No. 1 in Oregon for overall heart services according to the Eleventh Annual HealthGrades Hospital Quality in America Study (2009).
The study, the largest of its kind, analyzed 41 million patient records from virtually all of the nation’s 5,000 hospitals over the years 2005, 2006 and 2007.
HealthGrades also gave Salem Hospital five-star ratings (better than expected) for specific services in the areas of cardiology, gastroenterology and orthopedics. Specifcally, Salem Hospital’s top ratings for 2009 are:
