Beacon Award for Critical Care Excellence, 2007 and 2009
When Salem Hospital first earned the Beacon Award for Critical Care Excellence in 2007, it made history as the first Oregon hospital to be so honored by the American Association of Critical-Care Nurses.
In April, Salem Hospital made history again, as the first hospital in Oregon and one of just 18 hospitals in the nation to earn the honor a second time.
The Beacon Award recognizes the nation’s top hospital units caring for acutely and critically ill patients.
Earning the award shows that the clinical staff is committed to making continuous improvement in providing exceptional patient care fostered by a healthy work environment.
