Adult Psychiatric Medicine Center
The Psychiatric Medicine Center at Salem Hospital accepts adult patients for inpatient admission who are 18 or older and have a variety of psychiatric illnesses.
Under the direction of a psychiatrist, our multidisciplinary team provides psychiatric treatment in a safe and supportive environment.

Admissions to the Psychiatric Medicine Center are referred by a primary care physician, or are screened through Marion County Psychiatric Center or come upon referral from the SH Emergency Department.

If you have a child/adolescent in need of psychiatric services, please contact your primary care provider. For this patient population only, brief psychiatric consultations are available upon referral from the primary care provider.
