Choosing baby’s Healthcare Provider

We recommend you look for and meet with a care provider before you have your baby.

Right after your baby is born may not be the best time to make a thoughtful decision about who will provide care for your baby. It is a good idea to have both parents meet with the practitioner.

Two opinions are better than one, plus you'll both have established a relationship with the practitioner and feel more comfortable when calling with questions or taking the baby for a visit.

The best way to find a health care provider is through people who use them most -- other parents.

Ask friends, relatives, neighbors, and parent groups in the community for their recommendations.
